This art festival highlights an outstanding lineup of 150 juried fine artists and craftsmen from across the nation, presenting pottery, jewelry, textiles, paintings, sculpture, glass art and more. In addition to a beautiful selection of contemporary and traditional arts, attendees can enjoy live music against the backdrop of Pike’s Peak, activities for kids, and grabbing a bite from Colorado’s favorite food trucks. Colorist Krysteen Waszak, is an adventurous plein air oil painter whose color explorations take her all over the Land of Enchantment and beyond. Waszak’s contemporary painting style and color handling has a surprisingly modern feel, untraditional in plein air. The canvases are huge and the strong color sings, almost vibrating under kaleidoscopic hues; there is freedom and energy in the boldness of her expression.
