Oil on Canvas – Time Stands Still, Penasco Fields, Ponies and Jicarita Peak 36×60 There are certain places that don’t seem to change, I like that. Earlier in the morning, I had been feeding these horses apples in a whole different field, so as I painted the fields of this painting, I felt the fields were lonely without any animals in them, I exercised my artistic license and added them in. Lo and behold, a little trailer showed up and the ponies were let out into the fields in front of me. The family had seen me feeding them apples earlier and thanked me. SO sweet!
